Dr. Kevin Hogan

Dr. Kevin Hogan is a native of Springfield, Massachusetts.  He moved to the Pensacola area in the early 80s with his family.  He graduated in 1994 from the University of West Florida with a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Education. 

Dr. Hogan became interested in the chiropractic field while visiting with a friend who was currently attending Life University School of Chiropractic in Atlanta.  It was at this time that he was acquainted with the chiropractic approach to health care and he and his two brothers, Tim and Chris, decided they were all going to become chiropractors.

After completing his graduate degree at Life University School of Chiropractic in 2000, Dr. Hogan moved back to Pensacola and decided that the time was right to open up his own office.  He fell in love with the Foley area and teamed up with his two brothers and Dr. Darryl Allen to open Health Focus, P.C. 

Dr. Hogan enjoys seeing people who, after exhausting all other options for their back pains and other ailments, improve and feel better through the use of chiropractic care.  While the office has utilized several forms of advertising, roughly 90% of Health Focus' new patients come from referrals.  To Dr. Hogan, this is the highest form of compliment that the office can receive.

Dr. Hogan married Missy, his high school sweetheart, in 2001.  They currently reside in Pensacola with their three dogs.


     Dr. Darryl Allen


Dr. Allen is an Alabama native and 1981 graduate of the University of South Alabama , and a 1984 graduate of the United States Sports Academy. He has an undergraduate degree in Psychology and a Masters in Sports Science in Fitness Management. He attended Life University School of Chiropractic, graduating in 1994 Cum Laude.

His interest in the Chiropractic health care began while working in the fitness field following graduation from the United States Sports Academy. While working at the YMCA he became acquaintances with a local chiropractor and subsequently became interested in the profession. He himself received therapeutic benefit from chiropractic and observed others being helped from a natural and non-invasive approach to treatment. Experiencing the benefits first hand, as well as observing the benefit to others, resulted in his in returning to school in 1989 to pursue a degree of Doctor of Chiropractic.

After graduation from Chiropractic school, Dr. Allen began practice in Marietta, Georgia with a group which he had worked with while in school. In addition, he taught in the Graduate program in Sports Sciences , and clinical sciences in the School of Chiropractic at Life University.

A welcome opportunity opened in 1999 to move back to the area when Dr. Kevin Hogan contacted him regarding practice possibilities in the area. Dr. Allen and Dr. Hogan were familiar with each other from time spent at chiropractic school together. A pre-existing office in Foley was identified and selected for it's ideal growth rate and location.

The practice's concentration is on musculoskeletal complaints. Various chiropractic manipulation techniques, physiological therapeutics, and numerous specialized soft tissue (muscle) techniques are utilized. Dietary and exercise recommendations are also an integral part of the practices approach.

Dr. Allen resides in Fairhope, Alabama on Mobile Bay with his wife Lisa who teaches Marine Science at Gulf Shores High School, and his 9 year-old step daughter Kasey who attends the J. Larry Newton School in Fairhope. Dr. Allen is an avid cyclist and fitness enthusiast and enjoys sharing information on these topics with interested groups or individuals.
