Nidia Abbott

Nidia grew up in Cd. Victoria Tam, Mexico.  She completed her high school career and a degree in public accounting at the Center of Baccalaureate Technologic and Services in Cd. Victoria in 1993.  She worked for the school system in Mexico for several years, but was always interested in the sciences—especially natural medicine.

Nidia moved to the United States in 1997.  She studied English as a Second Language, and qualified for her American high school diploma through correspondence.  With that, she went to the Blue Cliff School of Therapeutic Massage in Mobile, AL.  It was at Blue Cliff that she became a licensed massage therapist of Alabama, and she has been working for Health Focus since August 2002.  

Nidia performs several massage manipulations and techniques, and continues her education in these areas so that she consistently stays up to date.  Nidia enjoys her work at Health Focus, especially in her ability to help people feel healthier and pain-free through the natural treatment known as massage therapy.


Renae Coats

Renae grew up in Silverhill, AL.  A graduate of Robertsdale High School, Class of '89, Renae went on to graduate Sum Cum Laude from Capps College, Foley campus.  It was at Capps College that she received her Registered Medical Assistant degree in 2005.  She interned at both Rockwell Family Medical in Spanish Fort, and Medical Arts in Foley.  Renae is a former employee of South Baldwin Regional Medical Center, where she worked for 16 years.

Renae became a team player for Health Focus in March of 2005, where she has multiple tasks—ranging from caring for the patients to helping keep the office running smoothly.  She and her family, Chris Sr. and 11 year-old Chris Jr., reside in Foley.


Marleen Bare

Marleen is a local resident of Foley, AL.  She graduated in 1999 from Foley High School and continued her education at Troy State University in Troy, AL.  Marleen joined the Health Focus team in 2002, originally managing all office duties.  She now oversees the insurance billing and collections facets of Health Focus.

Marleen and her husband, Scott, currently have two children.


Jessica Holthaus

Jessica is a native of Long Island, New York.  She graduated in 2001 from Hampton Bays High School and continued her education at Hood College in Frederick, MD.  She received her Bachelor Degree of Arts in 2005 with a major in English and a minor in writing.

Jessica participated in two internships during her college career, leading her down the path of public relations.  After these intern experiences—one in the marketing, editing, and publishing department of Maryland Life magazine, and the other working for the director of public relations at The Community Foundation of Frederick, Md., Inc.—she decided that her interests lay within the world of communications.

Jessica relocated to Gulf Shores, AL in October of 2005 and joined Health Focus in November.  She is in charge of marketing and public relations, as well as developing the community education program for the office.
